Lillian Chaplin Bragg Atkinson Davis died Tuesday January 16, 2007 at Savannah Specialty Care. Mrs. Davis was the Chief Registrar of Chatham County for 24 years. “Chappie” will be remembered by many as their French teacher at Jenkins High School from 1960 – 1969. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kendrick and Lillian Bragg, brothers, Waring, Vernon and Kendrick Sonny, son David Atkinson, and by husbands, Charles B. Atkinson and General Charles L. Davis.
Survivors include sons, Alan Atkinson, of Savannah, and Charles Atkinson and his wife, Catherine, of Key West, Florida, stepson, Charles L. Davis, and his wife, Lynne, and their children, Vicky and Charles.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2007 in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.

To Chappies' family: I worked for Kellys' for a while at Savannah Commons, and did pill reminders and laundry for Chappie. I dearly loved her. She was funny and dear, and just a real special lady. I really cared about her a lot. My condolences to you all. I know that you will miss her a lot.
